Be a Bearer of Good News

Heaven Answers #48 March 30, 2003

Annette to God:

Dear God, at school we were shown a documentary on certain world events, which filled me with a lot of fear. Is it Your Will that we participate in peace marches and protests, or do those things exacerbate the situation? Or is it Your Will that we keep silent and just work on the level of our own inner awareness? (I feel I should share this with at least my brother.)

I ask myself what did Jesus do when he faced something of the same general nature, though not of the same magnitude, 2000 years ago.

Jesus did not protest, did he? He was totally harmless and innocent. He wasn't a political activist at all, nor a protester, nor a martyr. He was a way-shower. But he was not silent. He spoke out. He did not accuse nor oppose, nor did he hide even when he knew others sought his life.

Is this Your Will for all of us today, that we just keep on living our lives as if nothing were amiss?

Yet I don't want to live in a world of indescribable injustice. It reminds me too much of another incarnation.

Perhaps Your answer will just confirm what I already know deep in my heart. Still, it is so good to hear what You have to say.

Your loving daughter,

Annette

God to Annette:

Beloved Annette, there is a difference between world events and your thoughts about them. You think that world events are factual. They are only ripples in a field of love. They are wafts of air that rumple a field of daisies ever reaching for the sun. The winds that blow do not keep the sun off the field of daisies. Are breezes more powerful than the Sun?

Perhaps then you compare war to clouds that prevent the Sun from reaching the daisies. But not even clouds keep the Sun away. Clouds filter the Sun, but they cannot keep it away. Clouds are not greater than the Sun. Clouds may dim the apparent Sun, but not the Sun itself. The rays of the Sun are greater than any clouds. Clouds even, in an offhand way, support the Sun because the clouds bring attention to the Sun. Everyone wants the clouds to go away so they can see the Sun.

Breezes and clouds seem a lot less threatening to you than war, than hate, than bitterness, than fear, and yet the Sun is mightier than all these. Fear travels, but Sun settles.

You are not a warmonger. You are a peace-giver. You are not an alarmist. You are a settler of hearts. You are not a fear-giver. You are an allayer of fears. You are one who calms other hearts. Fear does not bring peace. When you have fears, you have no responsibility to announce them. Would you overtly choose to pass fear on?

What is it you want to communicate to your brother? For whose need must you tell your brother fearful things you have heard? That you are your brother's keeper does not mean you are his savior. If you must save your brother, save him from fear.

How do you give peace when your heart is in foment?

When you feel you must DO something, pick up the world in your arms, hold it close to you, let it enter your heart, and your heart will pass it on to Mine. Love this battered world, Annette.

World power is only world power. It comes and goes. Eternal is the power of love. Bless this world, My beloved. Bless the hatemongers for they are in great need of your blessing.

From where does goodness come? It comes from Me. Therefore, it comes from you. On My behalf, do not give so much credence to the world and its power. Give more credence to Me and My power and glory.

Yes, it is better to keep fears to yourself.

If your brother were crossing the street without looking, and you saw a car coming, you would pull your brother out of the way of the car, or you would yell a warning. You would save him from imminent danger. You would do that because it was there for you to do.

But you would not instill fear in your brother for cars everywhere all the time. It's true, cars are dangerous things, and a car could hit him, but where is the advantage in making it harder for your brother to cross a street? Would you be a better sister to enable him to live his life securely in fear? What kind of life is it that is lived in fear? Does it make the risks any less?

In your need to communicate, is it possible you are looking for your fears to be allayed, as if giving them away makes them less rather than more? Is it also possible that you like to know more than your brother or be the first one to tell him something? Is it possible you are caught up in a fervor that will fade on its own?

Be a bearer of good news. Look for it. It is there. But even good news your brother may not want to hear from you.

Whatever you heard that gripped your heart with fear, what has it added to your life that you would wish to give it to others? What good would come from it? Ask yourself why it is so important for you to tell your brother your fears.

For eons of world time, there have been rumors about the world coming to an end. Shall you warn others of that as well? Everything in the world is temporal.

I do not tell you to hide your face in your sleeve, but I do tell you to get out of the traffic of fear.

Something in the world is amiss. Anything less than Heaven is amiss. That something is amiss is not a new discovery. The world, in the sense of which you speak, has always been unjust. That is nothing new. You have never, in man's terms, lived in a just world. Beloved child, you have no more to fear in what you call life than you do in what you call death.

Despite what is amiss, of course you go on with your life. What merit is there in huddling in a corner waiting until everything is right? When would you come out?

During wartime, people went into bomb shelters when there was an attack. They did not go there waiting for any possible attack. When was the world ever right in the eyes of man?

Definitely, live your life even when there is something amiss. One does not preclude the other.

Many of your questions are loaded, as if contrary cannot live together, as if one way must be right and another cannot. You are looking very much to know what is right and what is wrong. Everyone thinks they're right. No one thinks he's wrong, at the time anyway. Right or wrong is really not the question. In terms of the world, you don't have to be perfect either.

Declare peace. Walk in a parade of peace. What could be wrong with that?

Angry peace? What kind of peace is that?

Opposing a perceived enemy does not make him stronger; it makes his need to fight stronger.

You use the word magnitude. The magnitude of one killing is not less than the killing of millions. Magnitude is a world measurement. I have one child.

Put your mind at rest. Never mind about past incarnations. Never mind the past altogether.

Your responsibility is to find peace in your heart. That is how you raise the consciousness of the world. That is how you soothe the world so there will be no more fighting of brother against brother.

Intend peace. Welcome it. It is from the depth of your heart that peace will come.

Never did Jesus spread fear. He spread love. You are right. He showed the way. He showed you the way, Annette.

Now I would like to give you an assignment.

Go through Heavenletters or other meritorious texts and find quotations that have already answered the questions you ask here. Do this many times. Emblazon those quotations in your heart. And when a fear wells up, say the quotation, or point to it, and the fear will have to leave.

I have faith in you.
