Gloria Wendroff has been rising daily at 4 a.m. and transcribing Heavenletters™. These are like Conversations with God, although Gloria doesn't answer back. She just listens and e-mails out what she receives each day to subscribers all over the world.
On Wednesday, June 11, Gloria, Freddy Fonseca, Laura Simpson, and Charlie Nelson read Heavenletters to a spellbound audience. I was one of them. I thought my heart would burst from the power of the love that flowed through me in that room.
This surprised me because, when Gloria first sent me sample Heavenletters, I impatiently skimmed them, usually feeling "harangued by the light".
I argued with Gloria, "God is not a separate entity. It is all God."
Gloria kept saying, "Yes, call it what you will …"
One day, stimulated by Heavenletters and talks with Gloria, I mentally mused, speaking to I-don't-know-who. I said:
"You are just a figment of my imagination."
The powerful thought shot back: "No, YOU are a figment of MY imagination."
Thereupon, I was filled with a wave of Someone's love and laughter. Someone else's inside of me. I laughed out loud with the relief of it. What could be so terrible in my life if I am just a figment of God's imagination?
It was a precious gift to me, a gift of lightness and freedom — a release from the weight of the world … and, I'll be darned, a response from God! From a God Whom I could feel directly loved me grandly, and found me mightily amusing! (I am not attached to calling it God, but that answer surprised and delighted me, like a loving kick in the pants. The surprise element is what earns my trust.)
When I asked Gloria how Heavenletters started, she replied, "Many events led up to it — meditation, A Course in Miracles, etc. — but the succinct answer is: I made the decision."
