I would say it is very good to think of Christ at any time, for your thinking of him cultures his high vibration within you. His high vibration is already within you. It need only be awakened. I say his high vibration. It is yours; it is already yours, and it is the same holiness that was within him. He said that all he can do, you can do and more.

Which of My children is ready to accept that?

Jesus the Christ walked the earth in peace and joy, and so gave you a model. He is not the only one who walked the earth so attuned to My heart. His death, the circumstances of his death, made him and his sharing of truth most memorable. And, of course, My Will.

It is not Jesus' fame that you need. It is not his career you need. You do not need to become an itinerant preacher. All you need is his daring. All you need is his faith, and then you would have his daring.

It was no daring at all. It was faith. He merely did what was next. He had unsheathed self-centeredness. He had welcomed God-centeredness. That is his story.

We could say that one difference between you and Jesus is that he wasn't afraid of the world. He wasn't cowed by it. He wasn't afraid of what someone would say or think about him or think about anything. He saw a bigger world. And he spoke to the bigger world that he saw. And so he opened the world to greatness. He said, "Here it is. God's world. Take it. It is yours."

Jesus put his chin out. He said My Name.

He enjoyed My life as he lived it. He sparked hearts. He had fun. He helped people be happy.

He spoke truth. He lived truth. He showed truth. He healed with his faith. His faith was no different from Mine. He had the faith in his fellow man that I have in you.That is knowing truth.

If the man Jesus walked the earth today, one glance from him would enlighten you because he would see clearly the truth of you. He would give you his light to see. You would catch his faith.

He would revolve your heart, and your eyes would land on Me. You would know the truth of Me.

Despite whatever you think and may have been led to believe, you are the truth of Me.

Jesus never died. His body did. He lives in you, for I live in you, as I lived in him. He also lives with Me in Heaven, as do you. His princely love is given to you. It cascades over you. He is a master of love.

Be you that.

Acknowledge yourself. Acknowledge that you are worth something.

Jesus acknowledged his worth. He acknowledged that he was My Son.

That is all you have to do.

He accepted My blessings.

That is all you have to do.

Accept. And it is done.

Dear God, how is that Gloria hears you from a Christian perspective rather than from a Hindu, Jewish or other perspective?

It is the language Gloria hears Me in. So your question is why.

It is the most familiar to her. She walked with Jesus when he walked on earth, as did you, Nancy.

She grew up in a Christian society. Although she is Jewish, she is more familiar, not with Christianity itself, but with Christ's teachings as she found them this lifetime in literature. Unidentified and unnamed, but of the same truth as Christ's.

The child in her is more comforted by Christ and his words. She was not conscious of that, Nancy, but it was always a strong thread within her.

So to answer your question, she was born in a time and place where it was likely this would be so. Because of her long-standing love for Jesus, this would be so.

She does not view Me as a Christian God or a Jewish One or a Vedic One. She just sees Me as God, this love and truth that she hears. She knows Me as this force that jars her heart. She knows Me as the Speaker of her heart. My name is inconsequential to her.

In addition, Gloria is comfortable referring to Me as He. It doesn't matter to her personally at all whether I am masculine or feminine or neuter. They are just words. It matters no more than the exact date of Jesus' birth. What matters is that he was born, and he lived, and he lives still, and echoes of his love are still heard.

You need ask permission of no man.

Consult with Me. That is what Christ did do.

Can you imagine My son Christ asking other people what he should do? Can you imagine his asking others whether he should go here or there, or do this or that? Can you imagine his asking a single soul whether it was the right thing to do to speak out the Truth he heard from Me? Can you conceive that he would ask even himself, "What is most propitious here?" or, "What is the smart thing to do?" or, "What will others think of me?"

He did not ask himself, "What do I think of this? What do I want to happen here?" His question, if it can be called a question for it was more like an invitation, was: "What do You want, my Father?"

But, most times, he heard My love and wisdom before the need to ask arose. His heart was so close next to Mine that he heard Me before I even spoke.

Christ was in tandem with Me. His ear was to My heart.

When you feel a need to talk something over with someone, talk it over with Me. Whom do you want to guide your life? Who is your guide?

Accept that there is no quandary.

Learn nobility from Me.

You are not one who begs for advice. Nor are you a parceler out of it.

Do not even say to yourself, "I do not know what to do."

Running on the surface of life may be eventful but it may well make you a dodger of truth.

Yet you feel a need to know how to maneuver around in the tangles of the world. You want to stay out of trouble. You look for safety, and so you set up other experimenters above yourself. Look not for safety. Look for Truth. Make Truth your counter.

Of course, you do not ask me to teach you how to drive a car. You do not ask Me if I want you to drive a car. You do not ask Me which car. You do not ask Me which dress to wear or purse to carry. You do not ask Me myriad details about your pursuit of life.

Look to Me for the things that matter. Look to Me to steer you through the shoals of life. Look to Me for a greater spread and depth of vision. Look to Me to plant light in your heart.

Ask that you hear and follow My heart. Ask that you be relieved of attachment. Ask that selfishness and ego be erased. Ask that you will know the path to take when it comes.

Ask that your heart be based in Mine.

Ask not so many questions. Ask one. Ask that you serve Me.

Ask not for reward. Ask that you may follow Me. Ask that you may serve Me. Offer your services. Offer your heart to Me.

Ask that you see with My eyes.

Ask that you go beyond your individuality.

Ask that you do not interfere.

Ask that you know when you hear My voice.

Ask that you heed it.

Trust Me to lead you.

Put your hand in Mine, and let's go.

Be still with Me.

Take ease. Abolish pressure.

In this moment, you are Mine.

You are only Mine.

You are no other's.

Feel My gentle pulling of you to Heaven.

I attract you to Me.

I am irresistible.

I am the Moon that pulls the tide of your heart.

Come to Me.

Feel My presence. I am with you. Know that. Accept that.

You can only come with Me.

There is only one path. It is the path to Me.

Come along. Come along now. Join with Me in a mutual enterprise. We call it life.

Become close to Me, and you will speak My mind. Christ read My mind, and he spoke it. He was clued into Me. That was his greatness. He knew whereof he spoke. He was authentic because of his union with Me. He recognized Me. He chose Me.

I chose him not more than I choose you, for I have one child in My heart, and that is you. And it is you I call, and it is you who will answer, for you will answer.

Answer now, and hasten Heaven.

You herald Heaven. You announce it. What is Heaven but the horizon that is before you? When you reach the horizon before you, you are in Heaven. You have ushered it to you. And you cannot usher it to you alone. It is you who will reveal Heaven. See it, and it will be revealed.

Look Heavenward. Look to the vastness of Heaven and not the smallness you have been used to. Smallness was perpetrated upon earth. Take your eyes off smallness.

Attend to My greatness that leaps in you.

Not one of you can escape your greatness, for it is Mine, and I put it there within you. And you deny it. You disavow it. You act like a beggar on earth. Your hand is out. Your posture bent. You are not even sure that you have the right to be there.

When you accept that I have put you there — and there is here — you will know your rights and your privileges.

Remember who you truly are, and your back will straighten, and your hand will give.

Have the awareness of your blessed place on earth.

It is where you are right now.

You have all the power to spread My light. Mine is the only light there is, and I have given it to you to shine. Is that a lot for Me to ask? That you be who you are? That you shine the light I gave you? That you know love in the accepting of it from on high? That you know love by simply being it? That you let love settle on you? That you radiate it by not stopping it? That you emanate God's love and light on earth by recognizing you are steeped in it? That you receive the light the Sun sends you? That you bask in it?

Where does happiness lie? Wherever you and I are. For happiness is truth and anything else is illusion, and so you have illuded yourself when you do not see the bright light of the Sun shining to and from you.

You have dwelt much on nothingness, and not enough on Everythingness.

All the honor given to the memory of Christ is given to you — for the Christ that you so honor is the truth of you — so that you may come out of hiding and reveal your truth.

You were born for the same reason Jesus was born. You were born to raise your sights. You were born to become what you in truth are. You were not born for yourself. You were born for the world. From Heaven, you landed on earth, but you brought Heaven with you. From whence you came, you are. That is the Truth Jesus found. He found himself the Son of God, and that is the same Truth which you are finding.

There is One Truth, not many. There is not Truth for one and another Truth for another. If Truth were sectioned off in parts, it would not be Truth. Truth cannot be broken. Truth is or it is not. The Truth is you are My son or My daughter. I know it. I acknowledge it. Christ acknowledged it. You modestly lower your eyes and deny the Truth of what I say. You cannot believe it. It is hard for you to believe, at least so long as the spirit of you dwells in a body.

But surely you believe you are not flesh alone? Surely you know that you are more than physicality upon earth? Accept that the physical is not the Truth of you. The physical is an illusion around you. But you have believed in many illusions more than you have believed in the One Truth of you.

You are beyond the physical. Beyond the physical is the Pure Beingness of you. Christ did not make so much of the physical. He did not worship it. I will not even say that Christ worshipped Me. He knew Me, that is all. I made Myself known to him, as I make Myself known to you, but Jesus dared to look at My light. He dared to know it was for him, and therefore he knew it was for him to shine. It was My light in him that he revealed. He knew Whose Light shone in him.

I do not ask more of you than I asked of Jesus. I ask the same of you. I do not ask you to become Jesus Christ. I ask you to become you. That is all I ask. I ask you to reveal your magnificence because I want to be revealed. But first you must reveal Me to you. Take away the bounds in which you have kept Me. Let Me free upon earth. Take Me with you and free Me so I may be seen by those whose eyes are hungry for Me. Let others see through you. Take off the mask of your ego. Let yourself be seen. Do not hide yourself, and you will not hide Me.

What you think you are and what I say you are are two different things. Whom will you believe? In what will you believe? What will you see, and what will you give? What are you giving? You give that which you see. Now see more.

I do not ask you to reverence Christ more than you reverence yourself. I ask you to reverence yourself more. I am within you. Christ is within you. Have more regard for Christ and Me within you. We can only exist within you. We exist outside no one. We exist everywhere, but there is no outside you.

Christ is not someone else. He is not more than you. It is just that you have made yourself less. Now it is time for you to rise. I have knighted you. And now you rise.

What was Christ but an angel on earth? And what are you? You are the same. All you have to do is to proclaim your angelhood.

If you are made in My image, what would that mean if not that you are My messenger. My messengers are named angels. I do not disguise My angels. If you are in disguise, you have disguised yourself. You have disguised yourself from yourself. Once you see who you are, you will reveal who you are. It will be simple revealment. You will ply your trade with more light. You will be your own headlight. You will light your way, and others will also see because of your light. You will light My way, and so I will be seen.

The importance of light and the importance of seeing. The importance of you and the importance of Me. You are My import. I sent you to earth as My messenger. You must receive My message before you can deliver it.

Let your life be My message. Live your life in such a way that My existence will be known. Let it be known that one such as you can only exist through God. Let your life be so wonderful that there is no doubt of greatness, and that greatness comes from Me. From where else could it come? And who can reveal it if not you?

Hear Me, your God Who speaks.

Let Me speak through you.

Let Me shine through you.

Be My lighted Self on earth.

Be Truth.

Be My love on earth.

You do not have to magnify My love. You just have to be it. You just have to be you, you unadorned. You need no adornment. Adornment has nothing to do with you. You need no embellishment. You who are a jewel need no jewelry. Simply allow your light, which is Mine, to be reflected.

It is My light you wear. But you do not wear it. You are composed of it. To be great, you fake nothing. To be great, you take away what has dimmed your greatness. You don't need to turn your light on. Just take away its covering.

Your light cannot be wasted, for it is Mine, and My light is made to forever shine. Let My light forever shine in you and from you out into the flickering world.

This is the eve of your birth.

No man is born alone. Another man's birth is also your own.

Jesus Christ is testament to the fact that man is immortal being. You have not really immortalized him; he is immortal. But you have preferred to see yourself as mortal. As a failing flailing one at that.

Let My son Christ be inspiration for you. Do not let the magnificence of his life deter you from your own. Let his bright light shine on you. Let it rejuvenate you. Do not put him so far away from you. Do not idolize him. Love him. He shines for you. He shines on you. He shines within you. Let him bound forth from you in joy.

The same as I do, he wishes to express through you. That is the saving of you. He wishes to escort you to Me. He wants to propel you forward into My arms of love. He wants you to take over loving man on earth on his behalf and Mine.

Christ is a great server of mankind because he served Me. He asked Me what My request for him was, and I said: "Serve Me."

He asked, just as you might, "How?"

And I said: "Spread My light. Make My light be known on earth."

And he took up the torch. He took it up in his way. He walked the earth in My name. It was not the miracles he performed that made him holy. It was his beingness, and every atom of his being was conscious of Me and My love for him and My love for you. He never considered himself a performer of miracles. He merely performed My Will and allowed Me to ignite his life.

He gave up his ego so that you might live. He gave up his ego long ago so that he might truly live. Whatever he did, he did for Me. Whatever is done for Me is done for all. It is a simple equation. You equals you equals you.

You are not inadequate. You are not adequate. You are great. Only you have been measuring yourself and finding yourself wanting. And that is the crux of your problem.

Why do you look to yourself when you can look to Me? I offer Myself to you, and you desist.

What do you think surrender is? It is surrendering to greatness. It is surrendering to greater than yourself. It is forgetting yourself and your little quandaries. It is remembering Me and stepping up beside Me. It is aiding Me. It is helping Me to revolve the universe.

Surrender is not holding back. It is not giving up. It is gaining that which is already yours. You are the Heir Apparent. You are the Inheritor of the earth. Through your inheritance, you announce Heaven. You reveal it on earth. You pick up dust, and you reveal its light.

What do you think Christ gave up? He gave up poor vision for great light. He gave up pettiness for love. He gave up selfishness for Heaven. He understood the cycle of offering and return. He thought not of return except to Me. He offered Me everything, and so he gave to you, for He followed My Will, My Will of love and intelligence, My Will of peace and joy for you who roam on earth.

Christ did not abandon earth. He abandoned earth ways. He did not abandon thought; he thought with Me.

His individuality became universality.

He lost nothing.

He gained everything.

He is still showing you the way.

Every gene that Jesus possessed, you have.

You are My generation.

I generated you.

I generated you for something, not for nothing. Pick up your sword. Your sword is your spine. Stand tall and serve My Will. Ennoble yourself. I have chosen you.

It is a puzzle how you expect too much and not enough at the same time. You look forward to this holiday in one way or another, and yet your heart looks for more than it receives. You know there is something more. Once you have picked up the ribbons and the wrappings, you are left with yourself, and your anticipation has fled. Something more was supposed to happen, and somehow the sun set, and the day is done. It is already the past. And what did you miss? What slipped past you?

You see too well the contrast between what can be and what seems to be. Better to see Me. Better to dwell on the greater possibilities than the daily-ness at hand. There will always be the day-to-day details of Human life to be taken care of. And there will always be the greater glory.

Everything is more than it appears.

Light seems to come from a light bulb, but it comes from greater than that. And your light of life comes from far beyond the place where you stand.

Be not near-sighted. Be dear-sighted.

See the glow in everything. It is there. The same light that a bulb practices is everywhere in everything. It is in you. See it. Move it along.

On this day that commemorates the birth of Christ, commemorate your birth. Engage yourself in the holiness of today. You are the Magi, and you are the star that brings the Magi to you, and you are the blessedness of Christ's birth.

That which you love is yourself. Whatever capacity in another that you adore, the self-same capacity is yours. You pick out greatness in another that is also yours. If Christ really stood apart from you, he would not uplift you now. If he were really far away from your capabilities, he would have receded from your awareness. If he were not real in you, you would not remember him.

In truth, he reminds you of yourself.

And he reminds you of Me.

Yes, Christ is a reminder of yourself. He is a recollection. He is like a clock that ticks in your heart. Every once in a while, a little bell goes off. Maybe it is a Christmas bell that rings to awaken you to the truth of your own self.

Christ is a memory within you. The bell he rang never stopped ringing. Now you are becoming more attuned to the sounds that signal a greater tempo coming to earth.

Christ is a holy vibration of My love. And you are also that vibration. You are a pure note I struck. But other sounds have drummed over your initial note which was of such clear ringing that all rushed to your side to behold you.

Now you must behold yourself. Wherever you look, you will behold yourself. And you will see Me beholding you.

When you look into a stream and the sun is behind you, you will behold the sun and you will behold the sun's light illuminating you.

The mirror of a stream is innocent. It is impartial. It can only behold what is before it. But it is you who must see. Look deeper into your reflection, and you will see. It is not that you will cast a spell over yourself. You will remove a spell. You will turn in old sight for new vision. You will take off the glasses you have been wearing and begin to see.

And you will share your new vision. You cannot help sharing it. For when you see, others also see, and you bring them into the light as well.

You are the star that illuminates the earth.

Who said that life had to be smooth? Who said that the waters must never be rippled? Who said that a boat must not rock?

Know that whatever trouble comes to you, it is shaking you loose from something. Be not attached, and there will be nothing that needs to be shaken loose.

Life is not meant to be humdrum. It is meant to be an adventure. Be not afraid of it. Nor shake your fist at it.

You do not commandeer life. In terms of the relative, you rise above it. Rising above the effects of worldly life is rising to your true stature. Keep your feet in the world, but hold your head high. Look far and see greater than what is at your feet.

Looking just at your feet causes you to stumble. Besides, it is no fun.

Fun is an attitude towards life. It is not entertainment. Fun is your stance in the world. Are you Atlas carrying it, or are you a dancer? Be a dancer, and twirl. Move your feet lightly in the density of the world.

Be a winged Mercury in terms of the world. Be a benevolent deliverer of My messages. Deliver the truth of the world to itself. It knows not its truth. It knows only its bewilderment. Even a bewildered such as you can still deliver My messages. Cease sending your own.

Too often your messages are distraught and of fear. You do not need to send them. You think you are being honest to flail in troubles, but you keep yourself there. Jump out.

Bail yourself out from troubles. They are not your medium. Troubles are balloons you must pop. Sometimes you have had it backwards. You thought joy was effervescent.

Keep yourself close to Me. Not in fear, but in love. Think beyond yourself, for that is where the truth of you lies.

Be enamored with truth, not trouble.

Whatever disturbances, sail through them. They are only disturbances, and do not have to keep you from speeding ahead. Sometimes the seas are rough, and sometimes the seas are calm, but it is the same sea that you sail on, and so you sail.

You are pointed in the right direction. There is a magnet that pulls you aright. Whatever excursions or detours from your course you go on, you always bounce back to it. Your heart sails forward.

Even when your heart sinks, the boat does not.

Have you anchored your heart somewhere? Have you kept it down? Now let it loose. Like a kite, it will pull your eyes to Heaven.

Don't miss it.

Christ's feet tread the same ground you do. His heart was raised high. He walked the earth, and he lived in Heaven. His feet touched the ground, but his hands reached up to Heaven. He was not in the clouds. He was solidly in Heaven. He recognized Heaven's place in the world and his place in Heaven.

Where are the doldrums? They are beneath you. They are deep beneath your feet. And so when you look up, you are no longer in the doldrums. What are you looking at?

If you do not feel happy, then you are looking in the wrong place. Look higher. You are not blind to the doldrums. You don't pretend them away. You just don't stay there.

It is just as easy to rise as to sink. Sinking is an illusion. Rising is truth. Truth is stronger than illusion. It is truth that has substance. Density is not substantiated. Truth is. And the truth is that you are a divine being. You are an immortal being. I made you so.

When I say that you are a perfect being, I do not say that you are a perfect Human being. Furthermore, I do not ask you to achieve a state of perfect Human beingness. Relax. I do not ask you to have a perfect body or to be a sainted being. I do not ask you to be better than all before you, after you, and around you. I do not ask you to be more something today than you were yesterday. I do not ask you to win some kind of race. I do not ask you to achieve some ideal. I do not ask you to be a paragon of virtue.

I ask you to be simple. I ask you to be honest. I ask you to desire Oneness with Me.

Jesus did not spend his life trying to be Christ. He did not aspire to any claim. He did not seek to be ideal and to have the world follow him. He did not seek to rise above everyone else. His attention was not on himself. His attention was on Me and fulfilling My Will. And he wanted you to follow Me.

Fulfilling My Will is another way of saying to give Me joy. It is not quite the same as trying to please Me. You already please Me. You do not yet always follow My Will, and you do not because you do not yet understand. You do not yet know My Will well enough. Yet My Will is very simple.

I seek to raise you to greater comprehension of your Oneness with Me.

Trying to please Me is more like dodging around Me. I don't want you to do that. It is not that you are to second-guess Me or predict what I want. It is not with your head or with your will that you know Me. It is with your willingness.

Once your heart relates to Mine, your devotion guides you. Once your attention is on Me, it is out of yourself. Once your attention is on Me, you abjure your ego. By default, you abjure your ego. Abandoning ego is not an act you perform; there is no ceremony; it is just that you leave no place for ego to stay. It will have no place with you any longer. You will not want it any more. You won't work to get rid of it. You will just move closer to Me where ego cannot stay. It fades away. You forget about ego before you know you have.

When your attention is on being perfect, your attention is not on Me. It is on yourself. And that is where your attention has already been. Lightly turn your attention to Me. It is a tiny thing to do, this tiny switch in attention. The act is tiny, the rewards are great.

Seek to keep Me in your heart. Occupy your heart with Mine.

If you cannot follow My Will, then follow Me. If you cannot comprehend My Will, then comprehend Me. And what am I but you? What am I but love, and what are you if not love.

Seek to absorb Me into your life. Let Me work My magic on you.

You do not need to become more of yourself. You need to be less conscious of yourself and more conscious of Me.

I am leading you. You might as well follow. Follow your heart to My door. You are already at My door. All you have to do is enter. You do not have to knock. You do not have to wait. All you have to do is to admit yourself. You do not have to become something in order to come here with Me. You just have to come here.

There is not one of you who cannot profit from what I say. Do not think I am for the unholy only or for those in great duress. I am also for you whose lives are in tow. I am for you who sail along in a pleasant stream of life. I am for you whether you feel need for Me or not. I am not only for others.

No matter how much of Me you may have, there is more. I am absorbable and re-absorbable. I am so rich and full of greatness that there is always more of Me for you to behold. And you have more growth to go.

This is a great occasion today to discover that your growth is limitless. Unbounded means limitless. You are an unbounded creation of Mine, and you far exceed your grandest dreams. You are an arc of stars that My hand makes. You are not imperceptible. You are perceptible. And it is My greatness and yours that you are to perceive.

You are not a fallen star. You are a star that has not yet risen.

The star in the sky that heralded the birth of Christ was his own light shining in the cosmos. The light the Magi followed was a reflection of their own truth, and they followed it. The light you follow is your own.

Stars are a beacon of you. They don't lead you somewhere else. They lead you to you. They lead right up to you.

You are connected to the light of the stars. The light they shine is not more than yours. The light they shine does not go further than yours. The light they shine is not brighter than yours. It is just that more see it all at once.

You have not let your light be seen. You have not shone it. You have not understood it. You have not conceived of it. You have not accepted it.

But now you have no excuse. Take a look at your light and shine it. Shine it high. Shine it far. Shine it with your own vision. Let your eyes shine it. Let what is behind your eyes shine it. Your eyes shine what they see. See My light and so shine yours.

Your eyes are great reflectors. There is nothing for you to reflect but My light which is yours. I have given it to you. I have not withheld from you.

Accept this:

There is no one greater on earth than you. You are the greatest thing on earth. There is no one with greater promise. There is no one with greater love.

There are only those with more love unleashed. Unleash yours.

Light and love are the same. Love is the circuit for your light. No one is disconnected from the circuit. Only their awareness can be elsewhere. Turn your awareness to the light within you, and it will shine. Love shines itself.

Feel the power of love, yours and Mine. Feel that power within you. Yes, it goes deep, but it is not far. It is right within you, but it shines far. It shines across the land and the firmament and all the beyond.

When you shine your love, it reaches everywhere. There is nowhere that it does not reach. Your light and your love are like Mine. What else could they be like if not Mine? My children are lanterns I have strung across the universe, and all you have to do is shine the light I gave you.

That is what many have not been doing or doing enough. All can shine My light brighter still. It takes no effort. It just takes consciousness of what you are on earth for. Now you know. And now you shine forth the light that was given you and is yours to shine.

Dear God, it feels extra sweet when you talk about Christ.

Such a sweet vibration is his. Such a clear connection to you. That same exists within you, and when that connection is strummed, you like it.

If you recognized your heart in another often, you would often be in Truth. If you recognized another always, you would always be in Truth. Then you would be Christ.

Christ saw the Truth. When he looked at a leper, he saw Truth. When he looked at his executioners, he also saw Truth. Less could have been seen, but he could not.

You can see beyond the obvious. The obvious is nothing at all. What lies beyond the obvious is everything. You know by now that it is essential to see in a new light. Life offers you what you see.

You know it was through the movie Jesus Christ Superstar that I fell in love with Christ. It was his humanness that drew me, not his divinity.

His humanness gave you hope, Gloria.

And you once knew him as a human. You were there. All who read this were there.

Dear God, I would like to ask You more about the effect of the movie Jesus Christ Superstar on me. About twenty-five years after it came out, I stumbled on it on TV, and it was as if it were destined to cast a spell on me. It was more than a movie to me. It changed something in me. It certainly brought Christ into my heart.

Then I stumbled on Godspell the same way, watched it thirty times, and my heart got transformed.

You can say, as you have, that these movies had a great effect on you, and you can recommend them, but you cannot say to anyone: "Watch Jesus Christ Superstar every night for about four months, and you will be transformed. And then watch Godspell for about thirty times in a row, and you will be taken to new heights."

These moving pictures mattered to you. And that's all you can say.

And after some time, they returned to being just movies. The special glow left, but the effect stays. Every once in a while, I'll watch them again, and they can still make me cry, but they do not have the same power for me they once did.

They served their purpose for you. Or, We can say, they served My purpose for you.

I have thought my coming across them was some kind of divine intervention.

Those movies brought back memories to you of the time you walked with Christ.

They were like a code for you.

They were like a post-hypnotic suggestion for you. The suggestion may have been: "When you see Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell, you will remember."

The process of coming to Me is remembering. That's what it is. It is nothing new. It is a time recalled. It is a sweet melody familiar to you from you know not where.

What do you think human life is but a trance? For a moment, you forget who you are and become a tradesman. As you ply your trade, there are echoes of Me that you pick up in wonder, a remembrance of another life, a sweeter time, when you were clear and not confused, when you knew there was you and I, and that was the whole of it.

All longing is longing for Me.

Your voyage on earth is finding your way back to Me.

You are tracking Me down.

And you will find Me, for I am right here with you.

It is guaranteed that you will find Me. Only the how is not guaranteed.

Near the end of Godspell, when Christ rubs off the stars and moons and suns of make-up from the faces of his friends, he begins to say goodbye. I saw the make-up as the special goldenness of being with him. At this point, the second time I watched it, I started to cry. I found myself as if I were right there with him at the end of his life, and it was unbearable that the gift of the presence of such a one as he could be taken away.

You were watching a drama, Gloria, and it is one you watched at the time Christ walked the earth. You witnessed it then, and you witness a fanciful replay now. And you knew then, as you know now, that one such as he cannot be lost. Not his power, not his love, not his presence. He is ever with you as am I. He takes shelter in you. He was a manifestation of Me as you are a manifestation of Me. He is yourself. I am talking to all My children, every single one as I say this.

I have told you that We are One. So then Christ also must be One. I am the Father, and you are all brothers and sisters. Heaven represents the kingdom of love. Christ represents the brotherdom.

It does not matter the name assigned to Christ. It is not the name that matters. It is the energy behind the name. The essence of thought that his beingness is.

The man Jesus was not more important to Me than you are. You are all equally important to Me. You are all the Sons and Daughters of God. Each one represents the whole. I was not closer to Jesus than I am to you. The difference is that he knew his closeness to Me. You can do that too. You are doing that. You will come so close to Me that you will see We are One. You won't know anything but Oneness.

How lovely is Our Union.

Our Union is not only Oneness of Being but also Oneness of Purpose.

I would love to hear more about what God said about Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell bringing back memories of our walking with Christ. Does that mean we were physically there with him when he was on Earth?

Yes.

As God comes more and more into our awareness, will we remember these times?

You will certainly remember the feelings. And you will remember beyond memory.

What if you were thirsty all your life, and then found a beautiful clear stream of water and drank from it? You would drink of it and think, "Ah, this is what it is." Your very cells would remember water and soak it in.

It is not necessary that you remember specific times. But you will pick up where you left off, so to speak. When you hold hands with Christ, you will be aware of Now, and you will know that you have never let go of his hand or stopped hearing the echo of his footsteps.

You will have had a dream that you were without him, and you wake up from that dream.

Christ can only stir what is already inside you. He pushes the button. He wakes the sleeping Christ within you, and he nudges it still.

Who wants to play alone? He wants you as much as you want him. And, I, most of all, want you to recognize your brother.

You may come to remember a picture of Christ's physical time on earth when you were with him, but having the memory will not matter because you will have Christ in the present.

I use the word memory. I mean more of an awakening or reawakening. There is a beautiful color that you don't remember seeing, and then when you do see it — oh, the sweet recognition. That is the color you always wanted to see and were meant to!

You lived in a dark cave and saw only shadows of light. You had heard about light, and you had a vague memory of it. When you see the full light of the sun, you understand it was yours all the time. You just had to get up and peek. It was always there for you.

Is this full recognition of the sunlight a memory or a present awareness?

What is a memory anyway? A certain structuring of the heart. The mind may or may not recall, but the heart remembers. The aching heart meets what it ached for.

We can say that all desire is one side of the ache of memory.

Where exactly does it come from when we feel a deep connection with Christ? Does that deep connection come from having actually been with him?

It is all within you.

You have a deep connection. You are actually with him.

Do you feel Christ's sweetness now because you physically walked with him or because he exists within you? When you met the physical Jesus, you felt that same quickening. There never was a first time. It was always.

Because you are in human form, you long for physicality and absorption in the same sense that many long to see Me in a form, or, as if when one is blind, he touches the wall to make sure it is there. Christ was no more his body than you are.

You may have actual flashes of memory, especially if they are purposeful.

When I spoke of Gloria's seeing Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell setting off memories — they are not exactly memories. More like reminders. That is the word I want. Reminders.

We could say that those movies were reminders of the future!

Did Jesus know who he was?

He did not think about it. His attention was not on himself but on Me.

Did he know he was a helper of mankind?

Yes, he knew.

Did he know he was a servant?

Yes, he knew, and he washed the feet of others.

Did he know he was a symbol?

Yes, he knew he emblemized Me. That is what all My children do not know and need to.

Remember, you are not your titles. A priest, cobbler, nomad, pilot, trash collector, maid, hotel owner are the same child of Mine and all have inherited from Me.

Not one of you knows the effect you have on the world. Not one of you suspects.

Now it is time for you to suspect.

Oh.

Christ's light still radiates into time. Two thousand years ago, he walked on earth, and his steps are felt still.

Christ accomplished much, but his power was not in what he did. It was in what he was.

If he could not have uttered a word, he would have radiated his wholeness just the same.

If he could not move an inch, his light would have reached the furthermost corners of the world to the same degree.

But would people have known his greatness?

They might or might not have. His greatness however surpassed what others knew or thought.

His simplicity, his intentness of purpose, and his love conquered the world. I say "conquered", but I mean traveled the world, overtook it, lit it up.

Christ's wisdom and love exist within every soul on earth.

It need only be uncovered.

If you but knew.

Yesterday I kept getting the image and the words: "Christ stands strong." I realized that Christ stands strong in You — he was so enormously strong in Your love.

Great strength of great love. When the nonsense goes, what is left? That is the Christ in you. Your truth. It is said that Jesus had great faith, but what he had was beyond faith. He had totalness of Me. The light he carried and gave was My light shining fully in him. That was all.

You feel some of that same light radiating in you right now. That light is your strength. My light is your strength. Your only strength. There is no other. Not wealth, not success, not friends, not acclaim, not youth. My light stands alone. Christ did indeed stand strong. He stood with Me. He accepted My light. He wanted the Sun, and he took It.

There is only one thing in the world that is yours and that you can hold on to forever. It is My light.

In fact, you are lit right now. Pulling up the shades is discovering the Light that already shines on you. Pull up the shades all the way and let the Sun in. Move the drapes aside. Open the windows. I am tapping on the panes. Let Me in.

The Magi followed the stars. They did not follow the world. They set out to find something beautiful, and so they found it.

A star descended to earth. A baby was born. That is the story of your life as well, only your birth has not been given its due.

Note was taken of the birth of this child in Bethlehem. The attention on him was as it should be. He was given to earth as a blessing, and received as a blessing. Humanity became his Godparents.

If every child were given his due and greeted as that baby, the blessedness of birth would be known, and newborns all would be the blessings to the world they are intended to be. As I have given them to be.

Whatever the circumstances of your birth, welcome yourself now.

Born in a manger or in a hospital, born to wealth or born to poverty, your birth was auspicious. Now it needs to be known as so. You need to know so.

Deliver yourself from circumstances.

You are a child of God. So be it.

You have heard before: Make every day Christmas. Make every day your birthday. Make every day a celebration.

Celebration requires no special commemoration. The reason for celebrating today is because life itself is a gift. Open this gift of life today. Tear off the wrappings. Open today wide. It is My gift to you. It lies before you.

No day has ever been before. Each day is incredibly new. You are a new traveler in this day. You are the pioneer discoverer of it. No one has ever traveled this day before. And no one can discover today better than you. Today is yours as much as anyone's. Stir today well.

With what alacrity do you enter today? Or sadness? How you enter your day sets your compass. Not that sadness is bad, but if it is not what you want, why bring it forward to your day? Greet the day as you would like to be greeted. Has not the day come to see you?

A day meets you halfway. It can go only so far. You have to walk up to it. Shake hands with it. Do not hold back. Be forward.

What if today, Christmas Day, or the day after, or any day in the arbitrary year, could be the best day you have ever known, and what if it is only the beginning? What makes your day good? Your receipt of it does. How you receive the day does. It is not the windfalls. Do not wait for windfalls to declare your day good. Do not wait for your day to descend upon you full-blown, as though you are only a receiver of it. You are a receiver and a passer. You are a player, and today is the field you play in. Generate your day, for it is what you leave behind you.

How you start today matters the same as anything else you start. When you start a project halfheartedly, how far can it go?

Rescue today and all days from grumpiness or ennui.

A day is like anything else. If you read a book to find its weaknesses, you will find them. If you meet people and look for their faults, oh, how you will find them. If you are on the watch-out to disagree with what you hear, you will disagree. On the other hand, you can read a book to find something good in it, and you will. You can meet people with the intention to see their good, and you will see it. You can listen to what someone says to find the truth in it, and you will. You will pretty much find what you are looking for. You will see what you look for because you are ready for it.

Of course, there are exceptions, and you have had them.

Yet rather than looking for a road paved in gold, strew gold before you. What you strew before you, will be there. What you strew before you, you will attract more of.

I have said it. You are a magnet. You are not a perfect magnet, but by and large, you will attract to you what your mind's eye sets before you. Therefore, let your mind's eye set blessings before you. This does not mean that all your desires will be fulfilled today. It means you will at least leave some blessedness in your wake.

I charge you to treat every day like a beautiful jewel that you twirl in the sun.

Lift your spirits. Exceed time and space today. There is no other day. The narrow past is illusory. Acquaint yourself with eternity. It is placed right before you in this moment of today. Give birth to today.
